Những ngày lạnh kéo dài, vài hôm lại có chút mưa nhỏ, đám mai ngoài vườn lá dần chuyển màu vàng che lấp ló mấy nụ hoa đã đến độ. Quá nhiều việc phải lo đến nỗi không có thì giờ để trải lá mai. Hôm nay đã 23 tết. Vậy là quá trễ. Gần ba chục gốc mai chỉ có thể trải được phân nửa. Mùa lá năm cũ vun đầy dưới đất mà nụ hoa năm mới chưa kịp bung. Xuân tới đã gần. Ừ thì xuân cứ tới! Đông tàn rồi thì xuân tới! Dù có trễ nhưng rồi sẽ có một mùa hoa kéo dài ra đến giữa tháng giêng…
Chờ đợi!
